Kevin Browning started this comic book and autograph business at the Flea Mall in mid-1993 and Rick Shea jumped on board in April of 1994. We've had many wonderful employees over the last 15 years, including our current staff of Steve Price and Jimmy Mascolo.
Famous Faces & Funnies got our unique name as we used to deal in autographs as well as comic books in our first two years. After a while, the comics overpowered the autographs, but we still kept our odd name. FFF was a growing business that quickly grew into a separate store on Aurora Road in a short time. Soon after, we outgrew that small shop after we acquired the Subscription Service and customer base from former rival Stargate Comics and bought out Twin Distribution. We've since bought out several other stores and have amassed a giant back issue collection.
We remained in that shop on Wickham and Aurora for about five years until we moved to Lake Washington Road in the Publix Lake Washington Crossing plaza. From November 2001 to December 2007, we've been happy to serve you on Wickham and Lake Washington although we just recently moved to our new more centrally located store on the corner of Wickham & New Haven (192) in the Metro West Plaza. We're in Movie Gallery's former space and we've been very happy with the new location. Rick bought out the business in March of 2006 and is very excited about where the future will bring Famous Faces.
